It’s time.
Past few months have been exceptionally rich in cinematographic images. Navigating the ocean of many different stories, out of the blue, my heart was pierced with an arrow, and it will never be the same again. But just to make it clear, it still beats, and it does not hurt. This arrow dissolved naturally inside it nourishing me internally.
New York, the 90s. and she – Calvin Klein fashion publicist. Shy but assertive, minimalist but eye-catching, her eyes ocean blue but piercing. But it is not about her, it is about a character that she brought to life in such a style: Carolyn Bessette.
A born classy New Yorker, but despite being a townswoman, not spoilt though. Her innocent beauty, long blond hair and delicate facial features easily stay in your mind. There is much more than that, her unassuming way of being. Walking through the bustling streets of New York, wearing Levi’s jeans, cardigan, black hair band, having her hair put in a bun and with chic oval-shaped sunglasses on her nose, was one of her favourite things. So it is mine. I felt like I would like to be in her shoes.
Her uniqueness is not pompous. It’s quite the opposite, it is subtle, illuminating and embracing. A woman I would like to be. The first woman that inspired me so much to say I would like to be like her. May the memory of Carolyn stay fresh – she deserves it.

Questa freccia si è dissolta naturalmente al suo interno nutrendomi internamente.

Anche la mia. Mi sentivo come se volessi essere nei suoi panni.
La sua unicità non è pomposa. È tutto il contrario, è sottile, illuminante e avvolgente. Una donna che vorrei essere. La prima donna che mi ha ispirato così tanto da dire che vorrei essere come lei. Che il ricordo di Carolyn rimanga fresco – se lo merita.
